Cartons/Boxes and the environment
At Stevens we appreciate the importance of the environment, and are
actively involved in manufacturing products that are fully
recyclable. The carton board used in manufacturing is used from
trees from sustainable forests.
All GD (coated whitelined chipboard) is between 70-100% recycled
fibre and
GK (un-lined chipboards/greyboards) are 100% recycled.

Environmental impact is becoming increasingly important throughout
the supply chain. All parts of the supply chain have a
responsibility to minimise this and carton packaging offers the most
considerate solution. Cartons are made from a renewable resource
that is carefully managed to ensure that more trees are planted than
are used. In addition, over 50% of all cartonboard used in Europe is
made from recycled paper and board. And concerning the packaging end
of life, efficient recovery and recycling systems are in place in
Europe that deliver excellent results in paper and board packaging
recovery.
